After that, the task of dialing will be handed over to tl-r400. After filling in, we need to save the settings. But wait!! We think carefully about the process of data transmission from the Internet to the user's computer, which is from Internet → ADSL modem → broadband router → local machine. As we have seen before, in order to access the broadband router, we must unify the IP address segment of the local connection with the IP address segment of the broadband router, Furthermore, the default private IP address of ADSL modem -- ASUS aam600ev Ethernet ADSL modem is "192.168.1.1" (the default IP address of most Ethernet ADSL modems is "192.168.1.1"), and the subnet mask is "255.255.255.0". Obviously, it is not in the same network segment as "192.168.254. X", that is to say, tl-r400 can not access ADSL modem and data can not be transmitted. Only when the IP address segments of ADSL modem, broadband router and local connection are unified, can mutual access and data transmission be realized! Therefore, we also need to modify the IP address of tl-r400. We suggest that the IP address be modified to the same network segment as ADSL modem, such as "192.168.1.2" and "255.255.255.0" in this example (Figure 6). Finally, click "save" to save the settings, and click "reboot" to restart tl-r400 broadband router immediately to make the settings take effect

advantages

Although most ADSL modems and broadband routers support port mapping, they still need to be set separately, which is not so convenient
