the paper size in the carton is detected by the DC controller PCB after the user changes the position of the carton paper size lever. When the carton is inserted into the IR machine, the paper size lever pushes the paper size switch in the IR machine to make the DC controller PCB detect the existence of the carton and the size of the paper. The paper size switches are arranged as follows. The paper size is detected and judged by the combination of switches pushed by the paper size lever

check whether the paper type paddle marked by the circle below in the figure above does not point to A4 correctly (A4R and A4 are next to each other). If the position of the paper paddle is correct, the problem may be the paper switch in the circle above. In that case, you'll have to ask the maintenance personnel to deal with it

PS: this model can only identify what paper is placed in the carton according to the paper shape lever set by the user, so even if you place the paper horizontally (A4R), if the paper shape lever is placed in A4 position, the machine still thinks that the carton is placed vertically
